Mr. Davies retired in April, 2004 from Verizon Communications after a 27-year career in telecommunications. His last position was Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Verizon, reporting to the Chairman. As EVP of Human Resources, Lea was accountable for providing all HR related services to over 230,000 employees and 190,000 retirees. His organization provided healthcare benefits to approximately one million employees and retirees and their dependents at a cost of approximately $2.5 billion annually. Lea is currently President of the Board of Chore Services, Inc., and a board member of the Sharon Historical Society. Mr. Davies is a 1976 Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.
